About Thermal Grizzly
History
Thermal Grizzly was founded in 2013 in Hamburg, Germany by Wolf Eike Salow, a computer scientist with the goal of improving heat transfer between electronic components and cooling systems. The company focused on addressing one of the biggest limitations in computer cooling: the thermal interface between a processor and its heatsink. [1]
In 2015, Thermal Grizzly launched its first line of thermal pastes after partnering with renowned overclocker and hardware engineer Roman “der8auer” Hartung. Hartung played a significant role in product development and testing, helping the company gain credibility within the enthusiast overclocking community. [1]
As demand increased, Thermal Grizzly expanded beyond thermal compounds into:
-
CPU delidding tools
-
Contact frames
-
Water-cooling hardware
-
Thermal pads
-
Thermal putties
-
Performance accessories
-
Power monitoring devices
In 2020, the founders reorganized the business into Thermal Grizzly Holding GmbH. The company’s headquarters moved to Berlin in 2021, and in 2023 production was relocated to a larger 2,800 m² facility in Hohen Neuendorf, Brandenburg, while logistics operations continued from Lippstadt. [1]
Philosophy
Thermal Grizzly’s core philosophy is centered on:
-
Maximum thermal performance
-
