History
AllCoupon emerged during Japan’s early flash-marketing and group-buying boom around 2010. Rather than operating as a single coupon retailer, the service was designed as an aggregator that gathered offers from numerous Groupon-style coupon services and presented them through one portal. CYBRiDGE states that the initial AllCoupon project was built by an internal volunteer team called “teamallcoupon” and was reportedly created in only six hours before becoming an official project.
The service was subsequently redesigned and relaunched in November 2010. At that stage, its technology automatically visited multiple flash-marketing websites to collect their latest coupon information, distributing the resulting data through its website, email, Twitter and RSS feeds.1 This distinguished AllCoupon from conventional coupon websites, as it did not need to create every deal itself; its value proposition was primarily discovery, aggregation and comparison.
Corporate development
In January 2011, AllCoupon Japan Co., Ltd. was separated from CYBRiDGE as a dedicated company. A contemporary announcement from TV Tokyo Broadband described AllCoupon Japan as a company operating a cross-site search service for coupon websites and noted that it had been spun out from CYBRiDGE. TV Tokyo Broadband subsequently acquired a 9.2% stake through a capital and business partnership.
The business also developed commercial infrastructure around the aggregation platform. AllCoupon provided an API that allowed third-party services to incorporate its coupon information and developed affiliate and advertising-related services.1 Consequently, the historical service functioned as both a consumer-facing coupon directory and a coupon-information distribution platform.
Business model
AllCoupon’s original model can be summarized as a flow from coupon websites to AllCoupon aggregation, followed by search and discovery, leading to merchant or coupon-site conversion. The portal organized offers by dimensions such as geographic area, category or genre, type of deal, participating coupon website and consumer purpose.
CYBRiDGE describes AllCoupon Japan as a portal that aggregates Groupon-style coupon information, organizing it by region and category and distributing new information regularly.1 This model addressed a problem created by the rapid growth of coupon websites, where consumers might otherwise spend considerable time checking many individual services to find the best deal.
The early coupon ecosystem
AllCoupon was particularly significant during the Japanese social-commerce and flash-marketing boom of roughly 2010β2011. At the time, the platform listed numerous services including Shareee, piku, PitaTicket, GoTi, SHAREcoto, KAUPON, LUXA, 7PON, ooqpon, iCoupons.jp, NightPremium, CABAPON and magical coupon. These examples illustrate the original AllCoupon concept of providing a single discovery layer above a fragmented ecosystem of coupon providers.1
Partnerships and distribution
AllCoupon pursued partnerships that extended its reach beyond its own website. In 2011, for example, it supplied coupon information to Gendama, a Japanese points and rewards service. The integration used the AllCoupon Premium API to provide coupon information to Gendama users.1 Another partnership connected AllCoupon’s coupon advertising inventory with the search services operated by adingo.1
In May 2011, AllCoupon also partnered with the real-time Q&A service Q&A Now, creating a coupon-related service called “Coupon Now.” Users could access coupon deals while asking questions about the offers. These partnerships demonstrate that AllCoupon was positioned not simply as a website but as a coupon-data and distribution platform.
Founder and entrepreneurial background
One notable person associated with AllCoupon Japan is Ryo Umezawa. Umezawa’s biography states that he co-founded AllCoupon Japan and that the company was subsequently acquired. The World Economic Forum likewise describes AllCoupon Japan as one of his co-founded startups and notes its successful acquisition.
Another important figure was Yuki Hamada, who was associated with AllCoupon Japan’s management. In an interview published by Globis Capital Partners, Hamada described AllCoupon as a coupon aggregation website and stated that the business generated profits of several million yen per month at one point.
Evolution of the brand
The original AllCoupon was fundamentally a coupon aggregation service, but the current allcoupon.jp website has a different editorial focus. Today, the site presents itself around campaigns, rewards and ways to receive money, points or gift cards, rather than concentrating exclusively on traditional discount coupons. Its current homepage includes categories covering cryptocurrency services, securities accounts, bank accounts, credit cards, crowdfunding, applications, points and rewards programs, and surveys.2
Current content includes promotional opportunities involving financial-service account-opening campaigns, cryptocurrency exchanges, banking services, credit cards, mobile and subscription services, point-reward platforms, referral campaigns and survey services. This represents a broader interpretation of the original “coupon” concept, focusing on helping users discover promotional incentives and monetary benefits online.
Value proposition
The brand can be understood around three core ideas:
Aggregation
AllCoupon reduces the need to visit many different promotional websites. Historically, its core technology automatically collected information from multiple flash-sale services.1
Discovery
Instead of requiring consumers to know which coupon provider has a particular deal, AllCoupon provides a central place to discover opportunities.
Monetization of promotional traffic
From a business perspective, AllCoupon sits between advertisers or merchants, promotional platforms and consumers. Its aggregation, API, advertising and affiliate activities create multiple potential monetization channels. The historical service explicitly offered an AllCoupon API and affiliate-related products.1

Relationship with CYBRiDGE
The historical AllCoupon brand is closely connected to CYBRiDGE. CYBRiDGE corporate materials continue to describe AllCoupon Japan as one of its internet-media businesses and as a portal aggregating Groupon-style coupon information.1 The company’s current media page also identifies related services such as AllCoupon API, AllCoupon Affiliate and AdPon, and lists AllCoupon Japan as a related company.1
Competitive position
AllCoupon’s historical competitive advantage was the aggregation layer rather than the coupons themselves. This placed it in a category alongside coupon aggregators, deal-search engines, cashback services, affiliate shopping portals and promotional campaign directories. One contemporary business database describes ALLCOUPON Corporation as specializing in the aggregation of group and premium coupon deals, identifying competitors and alternatives including Rakuten Rewards and Rakuten.3
Brand significance
From a digital-commerce perspective, AllCoupon represents an early Japanese example of a deal aggregation business built around the fragmentation of online promotions. Its development broadly followed a trajectory from the flash-sale boom to coupon aggregation, then to API and distribution partnerships, an affiliate and media model, and finally to broader promotional and campaign content.
This evolution mirrors a wider change in online consumer behavior. Early deal sites focused on discounting a purchase, whereas modern rewards platforms increasingly focus on earning incentives for signing up, switching services, opening an account, making a transaction or completing another qualifying action.
AllCoupon is a Japanese digital-deal and promotional-information brand that began as an aggregator of Groupon-style flash-sale and group-buying coupons and evolved into a broader platform for discovering online campaigns, rewards, referral offers and other money-saving opportunities.1
