About Claretian Publications
Claretian Publications is the publishing brand of the Claretian Communications Foundation, Inc. (CCFI), a Catholic publishing and communications ministry established by the Claretian Missionaries in the Philippines. Since its founding in 1981, the organization has become one of the country’s leading Catholic publishers, producing books, liturgical resources, educational materials, devotionals, and digital media aimed at promoting Christian faith, spirituality, and evangelization. The organization was originally known as Claretian Publications, Inc. before evolving into Claretian Communications Foundation, Inc., reflecting its broader mission in print, digital, and multimedia communications. [1]
History
Claretian Publications was founded in 1981 under the leadership of Fr. Alberto Rossa, CMF, as a pastoral initiative of the Claretian Missionaries in the Philippines. The organization was created to answer the Church’s call for accessible and affordable religious publications that could reach clergy, religious communities, educators, and lay Catholics.
Over the decades, the organization expanded beyond traditional publishing into digital publishing, printing services, media production, and online evangelization. As its mission broadened, it adopted the name Claretian Communications Foundation, Inc. (CCFI) while retaining Claretian Publications as its primary publishing identity. Today it serves readers throughout the Philippines and collaborates with Catholic institutions across Asia and the Pacific. [1]
Parent Organization
Claretian Publications operates under the Claretian Missionaries, formally known as the Congregation of Missionaries, Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (CMF). The congregation was founded by St. Anthony Mary Claret in 1849 in Spain with a mission centered on evangelization through preaching, education, publications, and missionary work. Today, the Claretians serve in more than 60 countries and maintain numerous publishing ministries worldwide. [2]
