About Lampara Books
Lampara Books is a Philippine publishing brand specializing in children’s literature, educational books, and learning materials. It serves as the flagship imprint of Lampara Publishing House, Inc., a sister company of Precious Pages Corporation (PPC). Established in 1997, Lampara Books has grown into one of the country’s leading publishers of children’s books, producing titles in both Filipino and English that promote literacy, values education, and Filipino culture.1
History
Lampara Books traces its origins to 1997, when publishers Segundo “Jun” Matias Jr. and Richard Reynante, founders of Precious Pages Corporation, decided to expand from publishing romance novels into children’s publishing. Their goal was to create affordable, locally produced books that would support children’s learning and development.2
The company’s first publication, Connect the Dots and Color, received a positive market response, encouraging further investment in children’s educational materials. Initially operating under the imprint Easy to Learn Books, the children’s division eventually evolved into Lampara Publishing House, Inc., with Lampara Books serving as its primary literary imprint.3
Since its establishment, Lampara has expanded beyond activity books to include picture books, storybooks, novels, graphic novels, educational resources, and teacher support materials. Its publications are designed for children, parents, teachers, and caregivers.4
